Robert Rice | Scrap Clips

These are hardly scrap clips for a lot of people, these are real killer. Robert has been killing it so hard lately. His style is unique, steezy, and his tricks are out of the ordinary, which is the key to standing out from the rest.

The 180 table was too clicked.

ALTAR | NEW T-SHIRTS

Some new designs from Altar just upped and they’re fucking sick, as expected. Pretty much the raddest shirts around.

Shop Visit | The Workshop in Long Beach

As I’ve started attending Cal State Long Beach this school year, trips to my favorite shop, The Workshop, have been more frequent. The shop is situated in the tight knit community of Bixby Knolls, one of the nicer areas of Long Beach.

CAN’T FOOL THE YOUTH | THAILAND TAKEOVER.

For this upcoming spring break, Zane Meyer, Steven Jensen, Jonathan Davis, RSK, Jason Sellers, Jakob Santos, Devon Lawson, Josh Boothby, Colby Elrick, and myself are taking a trip to Thailand for the upcoming Can’t Fool the Youth 3 premiere + FGFS trick competition on April 5th. We’re going to be filming for an upcoming Can’t Fool the Youth road trip edition as well. So stoked to have this opportunity to go with my friends and it wouldn’t be possible without the help of Zane and Bombtrack Bicycle Co. See you then Bangkok!

CSK | Splined Sprocket w/ Guard

Jacob Ruff with CSK had a little custom work done with a sprocket + sprocket guard. A very good idea that hasn’t necessarily been available for Fixed Gear Freestyle, let alone splined drive systems. Designs are being thrown around and it’s still a work in progress at the moment, but he says he hopes to get it out “sooner than later, but we all know how that goes.” Check out the full post at HAMMERDOWN

FGFS | A brief history

Although Fixed Freestyle is a newer sport, so much has happened within 7 years (7 years already??) that a novel could be written on an in depth history. I’ve become aware that many newer people in the scene haven’t quite been caught up on how we got to where we are today, and there isn’t exactly any place you can just simply research the history of FGFS. So, without further ado, I present a brief history of the scene/sport, or basically, the most historical edits and DVDs. WRAHW Inspired.
