Me (84kick), Andy Sparks and Kozo are hosting a fixed gear trick competition, “THE SAMURAI TRICK COMP,” in Tokyo! Maybe you think, “Why Andy Sparks?” Last month, I met Andy in Fukuoka and told him about this idea. He liked it and said, “I will come to Tokyo!” So I thought, OK, we have to do it! August in Japan is super hot, so we will start in the evening. Around 15 riders already entered. I’m really excited!
Last time, I decided to have no sponsors. But this time, Andy and I talked a lot, and we decided to have sponsors for the young riders. I asked my friends who always support us, and they said yes right away. I’m so happy! Thank you so much, everyone. I really appreciate it! Some riders from overseas will also join this time. Forgot to post this one! New piece from Skream with some familiar faces in Deythos and Banggu plus some other homies. I’m liking this art direction and vibe for the piece. 4:3 aspect ratio was a good choice and I love that they’re bringing in the fisheye lenses. My only criticism is that it almost feels like it’s trying too hard to feel edgy, but it’s not a huge complaint cause I still enjoyed it. Overall fun stuff with some good tricks in the mix.
