Esteban In New York

While I was in New York in June, I had the pleasure of finally meeting the Colombian 700c shredder Esteban. I was familiar with his riding online, but watching him ride in person was extra fun. He charges everything with full speed with little regard for his own safety.

An important note with all this is that since I’ve left NY, Esteban has since been taken by ICE and deported back to Colombia. He was exposed to inhumane conditions and all of his things were abandoned in New York, leaving him to completely restart his life. Fuck ICE, help Esteban out on his Gofundme here, and check out the full gallery and write up after the jump!

CITY BOYZ IN NY – AIGHT SO BOOM

Our favorite City Boyz Marco and Oscar made the trek to New York last summer for some shred. This recap of their trip really seems to capture the moments and memories they made alongside some classic spots and killer tricks. They even made it out to the New York Summer Sesh event and met up with all the familiar New York scene faces like Mike Bido, Esteban, Randy Rush, and even Mike Schmitt was out there. Love watching these two ride and love the way Oscar puts videos together. Worth multiple watches!

NYC Saturday Sesh July Coverage

The July edition of NYC’s Saturday monthly session (hosted by brokeshutter) seemed to be a massive success! Our LA city boyz Oscar and Marco sweeped the event with Marco taking the long jump contest and Oscar taking the best trick contest. Love seeing the NY scene picking up after a long hiatus. I’m excited to make it out to one of these. Next event is August 27th, stay tuned for updates!
