Jacob Ruff with CSK had a little custom work done with a sprocket + sprocket guard. A very good idea that hasn’t necessarily been available for Fixed Gear Freestyle, let alone splined drive systems. Designs are being thrown around and it’s still a work in progress at the moment, but he says he hopes to get it out “sooner than later, but we all know how that goes.” Check out the full post at HAMMERDOWN.
Royal HC quick clips are always fire. This one features Joe Mckeag hitting a wall 180 on a new spot in Long Beach. Here’s what Royal had to say:

His style has inspired many riders to the point where I see other riders handling a bike just like Joe. His skill on any bike, not just FGFS, is incredible. Two videos released in the past couple days from the newly formed Two Strap Krew coming out of New York City. Great to see riding coming from there again.
The first is “Joe The Ripper” or Joseph Montano, and damn does the dude rip. Rail game on lock and steezy lines throughout. This edit was killer, can’t wait to see more.

Although Fixed Freestyle is a newer sport, so much has happened within 7 years (7 years already??) that a novel could be written on an in depth history. I’ve become aware that many newer people in the scene haven’t quite been caught up on how we got to where we are today, and there isn’t exactly any place you can just simply research the history of FGFS.
