Checking in with Tom Mosher

When I was in Canada a few months ago, I got the pleasure to properly meet and hang out with one of my best buddies and fixed gear royalty Tom Mosher. My buddy Adahir and I traveled from Montreal to Kingston where we were greeted by Tom and his truck, then taken away to his little slice of heaven in Odessa where we were greeted by his family, gifts, a lovely meal, and a tour of Tom’s world.

Tom brought out his over 17 year old Volume Cutter for me to see and let me take some photos it. Awesome to see the bike in person after seeing it in so much media during my formative fixed gear years.

Also as a huge cherry on top, Tom gifted me with a handmade pair of pedal straps!! A brand new Mosher Originals design with custom fabric for me. This is the first time Tom has revisited a strap design since his days at YNOT (yes those are his design still to this day) and in my opinion, these are absolutely killer. I’ve heard whispers of him bringing this design to life in the form of production… stay tuned.

That night, Tom was incredibly generous and drove us to Toronto, then met up with us the next day to show us around. Thank you Tom for the incredible hospitality and kindness, until next time dude!
