The very mysterious US made Ruff Bike Co CSK guard sprocket that I teased a couple months ago is now available for purchase! You can buy the sprocket alone as well as guard options on the website. $82 USD for the sprocket alone, extra $12 for the insert (19mm and 22mm options available), and an extra $10 if you want the guard with it. Here’s what Ruff has to say about it:
“We designed some 25 and 28 tooth sprockets that are compatible with Profile steel spline drive inserts and machined to accept select 4 bolt pattern nylon guards.
These sprocket were manufactured in the US from 7075 t6 aluminum alloy.”
Today we have an SMC EXCLUSIVE sneak peak look at the new Ruff CSK sprocket I’ve been riding for the last month. I’ve been enjoying the benefits of not breaking my chain on things while simultaneously loving the way this thing looks on my bike. While this is only a prototype and things are subject to change, the front of the sprocket is actually design-less and the CSK engraving sits subtly on the back of the drivechain. I dig it.
Figured I’d shoot some complete pics of my current build too while I was showing off the sprocket. You’ll notice this time around a higher seat than normal and a bunch of new scratches on my paint. Stay tuned for Ruff sprocket updates!
The famous Fixated Stout sprocket is now available in silver! With splined options becoming more and more scarce, this is slowly becoming our scene’s go-to option. Luckily for us, it’s a great option. Cop here!
Fixated out of the Netherlands just announced that they have a sprocket releasing in about a week! This thing looks sick. Guard sprocket compatible, 48 spline, comes in 19mm, 22mm, and 24mm. Hefty price point ay 90€, but good splined sprockets are definitely something the scene has been running dry on, so this is great to see. Hit them up at firstname.lastname@example.org for orders and questions!
We’ve opened up shop and decals are now available for purchase. $1 gets you 1 decal. More products to follow in the future. ENTER HERE or click the link to the top right of the home page! More photos of the decals after the jump.
Jacob Ruff with CSK had a little custom work done with a sprocket + sprocket guard. A very good idea that hasn’t necessarily been available for Fixed Gear Freestyle, let alone splined drive systems. Designs are being thrown around and it’s still a work in progress at the moment, but he says he hopes to get it out “sooner than later, but we all know how that goes.” Check out the full post at HAMMERDOWN.
Here’s some photos i took of some new parts All-City sent me! Stuff is so sick. The sprocket rides like a dream. Haven’t had a chance to lace the Hub yet, but the bearings are silky smooth and it looks like it can take a beating.
