No riding pics here, but I wanted to capture who was at one of our massive sessions during SMC 8 week. So many folk in one place! Meant to use the last pic as promo but was too occupied with organizing… maybe for this year.

Them boys outdid themselves with this one! Absolute heat coming from the FBZ in norcal featuring so many names (Antonio, Boothby, MTS, and more). The main stars of this though are the 3 core dudes: PVN, Kam, and Watcha. PVN comes through with really solid tricks and has those feeble 3’s absolutely dialed. I feel like he could take his bag of tricks and apply them to any obstacle no matter how scary. Kam always keeps me guessing with the tricks he’s gonna do and he’s just so damn stylish. Then finally we got Watcha who comes through with some super high level tricks. He’s back to fighting form and I’m so glad to see it.
The question remains though, WHO IS FBZ408 ADMIN?
84kick is hosting The fixed gear trick competition called “THE SAMURAI TRICK COMP” in Tokyo, Japan. Around 10 riders are already in. Over the past few years, I’ve been attending competitions overseas, but it’s been a long time since I could watch Japanese riders closely, so I’m really looking forward to this.
This time, I wanted to keep it as pure as possible, like 100% rider’s DIY pure, so there will be no sponsorship from brands, manufacturers, or shops. The location will be kept secret and shared only with registered riders. I’ve received some inquiries from overseas riders, but this time the event will be for domestic riders only. If everything goes well, I’d like to open it up to international riders in the future.
Alright everyone, see you on March 7th.

Ruff man Jacob Ruff has been making moves in the BMX world and has become the S&M phone filmer / editor. Here’s a new one he cooked up featuring the whole Seattle gang. He even gave himself a cameo clip at the :53 mark! All part of big fixie’s plan to infiltrate BMX. Thanks for doing your part Jacob.
It’s been a while, but I finally went out for a night shoot with Koichi Higo aka FORKONE again.
His creativity always pushes my motivation and keeps my shooting spirit alive.
We captured a few scenes, and here’s one of his signature moves — the boomerang.

A first of its kind, we listened to the people and made a 700c Trick Track Courttek V2 game of BIKE happen between myself and Max Corcoran while he was in town!
Satoshi will now be a contributor to the blog! Here’s his first post featuring Shun, a young rider from the Kokura area of Japan. Here’s what Satoshi had to say about his first feature:
Shun and Satoshi recently had a photo session. We’d like to share a part of it with you all.

I’m personally mind blown that Leader TRKs and Thrashers found their way to Bishkek, but I’m glad they did cause SMAW Gang is going hard.
