We’ve all been feeling the struggle of the hubless FGFS industry. It’s no secret that we’ve been needing a hub in FGFS for a while. No company has made a hub in about two years (since Bombtrack) and the market has been relying on old hubs so people can keep riding. Master promised to make a hub some time this year, and the time has finally come. They’re now taking pre-orders for their new “64” hubs and will be sending them out come August. They come with a free hub guard, come in 9t and 10t, AND they will be selling spare axles! Master truly coming in clutch. Support these guys, cause they’re saving the scene. PRE ORDER HERE
We got the man himself, Kareem Shehab, to answer some questions about himself to get to know him a little better in this edition of GTK. Well known veteran for his legendary FGFS videos (Death Pedal, BMH, Southern Safari), his skills on the blades, his huge grinds, and his bike company Master Bike Co, Kareem Shehab is a jack of all trades and certainly deserves to get a little more about himself shared with the world. If anything, we’re the ones who don’t deserve this man’s time and attention. Personally, I used to idolize this man and dreamed of meeting him one day, so being able to interview him is truly humbling. He’s seen this tiny FGFS community start from it’s roots and continues to be a driving force of content and components to keep the scene going. Here is, the Kareem Shehab interview:
Master just dropped new absolute destruction coming from our very own Miguel Zendejas to promote their now available Chopstick fork. There isn’t a single clip in this edit that isn’t a banger so there’s no point in even calling out specific tricks. Although my personal favorite was the double peg nose tap at :40, really great spot usage there. Proud to call this dude fam. Pick up a Master Bike Co. Chopstick fork HERE and don’t miss this video!
Sweet little documentary style piece about Ed Wonka and his past month in Taiwan. Within this little video is some big news, Wonka’s riding for Master Bike Co now! Support rider driven companies and pick up something from Master here.
Master’s Chopstick Forks are now available for purchase! If you’ve been looking for a fork, you’re in luck cause there aren’t many options around these days, so thank you Master for helping keep the sport alive. They have brake mounts available in certain colorways and come in a bunch of awesome colors. Some specs include:
Ramon just dropped this fire new edit of Jimmy Watcha from footage he’s collected over the last couple years. Jimmy is at the forefront of FGFS and is always pushing what’s possible with the fixed drivechain. Always a great combination of tech savagery and hefty bangers.
