First of all, today is our dude Zach Babinski’s bday! Zach has been down with SMC since day 1 and seeing him progress and shred over the years has been nothing short of a pleasure. We recently rode the Hawaiian Gardens skatepark and Zach was hitting this quarter so stylish-like that I needed to snap a pic. Bro tweaking!
Master master Kareem joined us on a session in his new hood recently. It’s been about 10 years since I’ve been to this skatepark, so we had fun getting re-acclimated with one another. Kareem doesn’t get out on his bike that much anymore, but his recent move to LA has him more motivated to be back on the bike than ever. He’s always a treat to watch ride and he nailed this un luc-e on this big hubba with ease.

Not directly bike related. The highly anticipated Whaleathon documentary, a story that documents the FOAD Gang’s journey to run a marathon around a .04 roundabaout with a whale stature in the middle, is now live on the FOAD channel. Jackson put lots of work into this and even flew me out to film the event, so support his project by giving it a watch!

Rounding out the year with one of the highest anticipated videos of the year, Chase Henley – Hospital Case. Although a lot of this footage is over 2 years old already, this video showcases the fact that Chase is the most talented person to touch a fixed gear drivetrain in the last 5 years.
