Anthem sent over some of the first pictures of their new 2016 Frames including the FGFS specific “Comply” frame, and their new 26″ BMX frame titled the “FMS” (110mm rear spacing). The new models now include a top tube gusset, chainstay grind plates, and spacing for 2.5 tires as well as the same 8mm thick dropouts that accommodate up to 42mm diameter pegs. The fork will be a 405mm a2c with a 20mm rake. No details on the geometry of these frames yet, but they look killer. Stay tuned for more info and follow @anthembikeco on the gram.

Myself and Penrose went out to film some street yesterday and we both ended up getting pretty hurt. We still managed to snag a few clips though including this rad pole jam hop from Penrose aka @therealbobbyhill . We got to this spot and we discovered that the main part of the spot is now capped. Penrose eyed up this weird bump jump over a pole jam though and sent it after a few goes. Watch out for the clip in his upcoming web edit we’re working on.

A jam is going down in AZ (courtesy of Turf Bikes) this May titled the “Prickly Pear Jam”. AZ FGFS is going off right now and this jam will be as well. 100% rider supported and created. I recently became acquainted with Deacon Wong, an FGFS rider in the area. Turns out we go to the same school and he and his girlfriend ride FGFS quite often (Yes, his girl does tricks. How sick is that?) We met up recently and he pulled this sick T-Bog kind of brake endo thing that I can’t remember the name of that I had to take a photo of cause it looks sick. I also got some shots of him and his build, a 700c Milwaukee D.A.R.T. Bruiser, which are rare as fuck these days. Watch out for his clip in the new Chop Em’ Down FGFS full length coming out in May. Pedro and Duarte from Portugal met up with us when we went to Barcelona in January earlier this year and really helped us out with finding spots and talking to locals. The dude is awesome and his passion for FGFS gets me stoked to ride. The dude is always hungry for clips, and seeing him get a custom frame from Nem Pro is well deserved. Be on the lookout for his clips when the Barcelona clips come out. But for now, I took some shots of him and his bike during the golden hour. Even though it’s a 24″, the frame geometry makes it ride like a 26″ build. It looks cool too, more photos after the jump!
