That just about wraps up all the SMC content we had! Last things to look forward to are the official scores from both comps, phone pic gallery, and a Privileged Bread episode.
This was the first year we decided to throw a Women’s trick division into the mix for SMC 8 weekend and it was a big success! We had 3 killer competitors come out in Dylan, Clara, and Devan to make for some fire runs and tricks. We hope to see this division grow in the coming years, but for now we’re really happy with the caliber of riding we got to witness from these 3.
The results are in! Both days of SMC 8 are concluded and I can easily say this was the best one yet. Full gallery, writeup, and thoughts coming soon but for now here are all your winners from the weekend:
All of the Courttek V2 riders and colorways are officially revealed. THE DAY HAS COME. The long awaited Master Courttek V2 is here for pre order! Along with this news and 6 colorways we’re introduced to the brand new Master 2025 Trick Track team lineup which includes:
“The wait is over. The Master Bike Co Courttek is back! For the V2 we have reinforced the seat tube cutout, changed to integrated headset and have added 2 new sizes to the lineup (size 48 and 58). Additionally, the frameset can be purchased in brakeless or v-brake configurations. Frames now come with matching 700c chopstick forks as well as headset and seatpost collars included. Our team riders put in countless hours riding and tweaking our factory samples to perfect the frame’s geometry and durability in order to create the ultimate tricktrack riding experience.
Every element of the frame has been carefully crafted with intention and precision. The Courttek frame can accommodate tires up to 45c+ with ample barspin clearance, and it features one of the shortest rear ends on the market, ensuring exceptional maneuverability and control. While the Courttek’s styling and design pay homage to the classic track frames of the past, it has been expertly engineered to address the shortcomings and design flaws of earlier bike models.
From the materials used to the carefully designed geometry, every aspect of the Courttek frame has been selected and crafted with the rider’s experience in mind. The result is a highly responsive and versatile frame that is perfect for riders who demand the best in both performance and style.
700c Wheel size, Full Heat Treated Chromoly, 10mm (3/8”) dropouts, 120mm rear hub spacing, English threaded bb, 27.2 Seatpost, Includes Master 700c Chopstick fork, Includes Master seat post clamp and integrated headset
It will take roughly 3 months from the close of the preorder to manufacture and ship these bikes. Each frameset will ship individually so you will not see any cost savings for shipping by combining orders. Preorder will be open from Sunday Sept 14- Sept 28.”
Alongside the 5 signature colors is a special edition woodland camo colorway, making for 6 colors total in this drop. Once this pre-order is done you will not be able to get a Courttek V2, so now is your only time! Snag one here!

Devan Gallagher (fixed gear trick veteran) just posted up a bike check and I needed to get this bike on display in a non-Instagram format. Extremely tasteful Andy Sparks Courttek build! She’s been shredding this thing on her IG so make sure to go peep some moves here.
As we all know, women in the trick scene are historically few and far between. While things are looking up these days and more women seem to be doing tricks on fixed gear bikes than ever, we must pay tribute to those who paved the way!
Lately I’ve been chatting with Devan Gallagher, formerly known as Devan Council. In 2010, she was at the forefront of women in the fixed gear trick scene. She attended all the major competitions, released multiple videos, and was even invited to the prestigious Red Bull Ride + Style competition in 2011, the only women to ever be invited to the competition series.
Devan would also do her part covering and supporting other woman in the scene. In January 2011’s issue of Urban Velo, Devan had a write up interviewing several of the woman throughout the scene, possibly one of the biggest forms of exposure for women in the scene at the time.
Devan has hopped back on the bike recently and is in full shredding form, which is so cool to see. We just uploaded one of her old unreleased edits from 2011 onto the archive. Check out Devan’s old edit below and peep some of her new shred here!
