TOP 10 TRICK TRACK RIDERS 2020

Today we present to you our picks for the top 10 trick track riders of 2020. Remember, this isn’t a “best riders” list, this is a list to give props to riders who did the most in 2020. Also remember to not take it too seriously! I have fun making these and all of these riders are amazing in their own aspects. Everyone could definitely have an argument for bumping up on the list. If I missed anybody, make sure to let me know in the comments. Enjoy and start putting in that work for next year’s video if you wanna make it on the list!

SlowWheelz | Trick Track On The Beach Side

New one from the SlowWheelz crew hitting a nice trick track session in Venice, a classic spot for such activities. Love seeing some new footage of Rojo and homie on the white Cinelli’s line at 2:50 was real nice. Memo and squad always killing it!

Icarus – Manchester Tapes Pt 1

It’s really exciting to see a crew arising from England again. Since the death of Ninja Cats, I wasn’t sure if I was ever gonna see a scene out there again. Sure enough, Icarus is holding it down. While the editing is a bit experimental and jarring at times, the shred has some raw 08 vibes that I’m digging a lot. The line at the 1:56 mark was real fresh too, I wanna see a whole edit of that guy.

TALES OF THE WEST COAST FULL LENGTH

This one gets the SMC seal of approval. Man, really really proud of Guillermo for pulling through with this and putting together a full comprehensive video. He’s had this vision and has been working at it for about two years, you can definitely tell a lot of hours went into it. So many good tricks, so many good riders, and a really good look into the LA cycling scene as a whole. I’m not that involved in most of the cycling scene so it’s good that Memo is out here documenting it and spreading the good word of trick track. Hell I haven’t even heard of most of the dudes doing tricks in this and I can’t tell you how excited that gets me for the future of this scene. Your boy even got some clips of that I was pretty stoked on around the 15:50 mark. Hyped to be part of it.

On the filmmaking side, Guillermo absolutely crushed it. Really great shots of LA, the tricks, the mashing, and the music choices were on point. Job well done Memo and everyone involved. If you liked this and want to support, make sure you check out Slowwheelz Cycling!

JOHNATHAN BALL MASTER COURTTEK BIKE CHECK

Exciting news to share! Master Bike Co. gave me the opportunity to be part of their trick track team and gave me my own signature colorway for the new Courttek trick track frames that are set to drop early next year! Beyond excited with how the bike turned out. Gus did a killer job on the graphics, as always. As far as the colorway goes, I was going for the old raw Thrasher V1 vibes with the purple decals. I’m excited to put some shred on this thing. Keep in mind too that these are still prototypes, and the production geometry will likely be tweeked and perfected.
