Sad news for the scene, but the Master store is shutting it’s hypothetical doors on Setember 4th for an indefinite amount of time. This isn’t forever as Master says they still plan on launching a Courttek V2 and other parts, but for the time being you will not be able to buy any more Master parts, so I highly suggest you stock up now and buy some stuff.
BREAKING NEWS. The extremely highly anticipated Ruff Glimmer framesets are officially LIVE! I can confidently say that these are some of the highest quality frames I’ve had the pleasure of riding and both looks wise and geometry wise, you will not be disappointed.
With each frameset you get an option of either a black or chrome fork and the frames are available in 3 colorways: Dark Black (decals by Matt Spencer), Really Raw (decals by Corey San Agustin), and Gang Green (decals by Jackson Bradshaw). The decals on each colorway came out so great and if I wanted to buy one, I would personally have a very hard time choosing one.
Here’s what Ruff has to say about the Glimmer frames along with specs:
“You know when you have that ride: an epic adventure exploring a new city, a heavy session with a big crew, or maybe just a solo cruise in the neighborhood hitting curb cuts and your go-to spots? It’s the ride that completely consumes you and is both energizing and freeing. Maybe it disrupts something that you’re doing or thinking that isn’t settling, offers you an opportunity to catch up with someone you haven’t seen in a bit, prompts you take a different route and come across something new, or maybe just gives you some space to be in your head with your own thoughts and recharge.
All of these moments are essential parts of what draw us to pick up our bikes and keep pedaling. To us, a Glimmer is that moment when you recognize that you are present, focused, when the volume of everything else around you is silenced, and all that you are doing is riding your bike.
The frame and fork geometry was test ridden for three years and refined by Matt Spencer, Jackson Bradshaw, Chase Davis, Johnathan Ball, Chase Henley, and Jacob Ruff. We are really stoked to be able to share this bike! Both frame and fork are proudly made in Taiwan.”
Frame Specifications:
4130 heat treated chromoly tubing
2.35″ (60mm) max rear tire clearance
125mm tall head tube for use with standard integrated headset
Lots to check out on there, so i suggest poking around the new site and checking out some rider and product pages. Keep that Glimmer going and check out all of the above at Ruffbike.co!
Resist just dropped their two recent forks in a black colorway! Buying the 26″ version gets you a free pair of pegs too. At $169, that’s not a bad deal at all. Cop the 700c version here and the 26″ version here!
VERY RARE. If you haven’t noticed, Master product never goes on sale. So what is this? Is the financial ruin of the country upon us? Luckily not (for now), but Master is moving headquarters from Seattle to LA and Kareem doesn’t wanna lug all the frames here. So frames, forks, and bars are all 20% off. Take advantage while you can!
AT LAST! The new Ruff Bike Co. frames have officially been teased and announced to drop this month! I have no public information to share about the frames so far, so keep up with the Ruff IG for the latest updates on the drop. Looks like the frames will come in black, raw, and a pale green. Exciting stuff!
Resist was quick off the jump to post the pictures of my new signature 700c fork to the point where I wasn’t even able to take any pictures of my own! So here are my official promo pics for the fork, available now at Resistbikes.com! (Promo video coming soon?)
Resist has been dropping some serious goodies on us the last couple weeks! I’ve already posted about the 2 forks they just released, but now there are also new cranks and a new Latte colored Icon saddle available now! Here’s what Resist had to say about the cranks:

“Our Resist cranks have heat-treated tubular chromoly arms that include a forged spindle boss. Made with a 48 spline, 19 mm hollow chromoly spindle and flush mount spindle bolts that is flush with the arm to reduce ankle scarring.”

Cats out of the bag! My Resist JAB 700c fork is out now. These utensils have been in the works for months now and I’m really happy with the way they turned out. I love colliding worlds, so my man Gus Molina helped out with the sweet boxing Cleto Reyes inspired decals. Chrome polish of course because chrome is king. Resist brake hole is the cherry on top. At 420 A2C and a long steer tube, these are perfect for either 700c FGFS bikes or to throw on your existing track bike to do some sweet barspins.
These are now available at the Resist webstore and bike shops that distribute Volume and Resist goods for $189. Here are the dirty details on the specs:
420mm A2C
Steer Tube Length – 300mm
One-piece 1-1/8″ Steer-tube
Fits 45c + Tires
Full 100% 4130 Heat-Treated
Full CNC CRMO 5mm thick dropout
Dropout Offset/rake: 20mm
Weight: 2 lbs 8 oz
Another piece of news Resist announced to my surprise was a 26″ fork! This one featured a threaded top cap, short A2C at 391mm, and a butted steerer tube. BEEFY. Here are the specs:

Tyrant Bikes, owned by former Leader owner Sal Sambroso, was kind enough to send a Tyrant Legacy steel frame our way to build up, ride, and talk about. Gallery of the build and some additional thoughts after the jump!
