Video game style follow along of Slum with some tricks from Memo sprinkled in. Solid as always.
Footage from 2017 Slum shot but never released featuring some familiar faces, always sick!
It’s been a while since I’ve had a track bike that I was stoked on. I’ve had this LD Labs frame built up for a while, but I wasn’t too hyped on the way it was set up and didn’t enjoy the way it felt. Finally though, I decided to put some time and $$$ into it to finally get it the way I envisioned. Also waiting 6 months for some Omniums on Ebay cause the fucker wouldn’t send the cranks didn’t help with getting this project finished, but alas! I present to you: my LD Labs dream build. (More photos + specs after the jump)(more…)
It’s really exciting to see a crew arising from England again. Since the death of Ninja Cats, I wasn’t sure if I was ever gonna see a scene out there again. Sure enough, Icarus is holding it down. While the editing is a bit experimental and jarring at times, the shred has some raw 08 vibes that I’m digging a lot. The line at the 1:56 mark was real fresh too, I wanna see a whole edit of that guy.
This one gets the SMC seal of approval. Man, really really proud of Guillermo for pulling through with this and putting together a full comprehensive video. He’s had this vision and has been working at it for about two years, you can definitely tell a lot of hours went into it. So many good tricks, so many good riders, and a really good look into the LA cycling scene as a whole. I’m not that involved in most of the cycling scene so it’s good that Memo is out here documenting it and spreading the good word of trick track. Hell I haven’t even heard of most of the dudes doing tricks in this and I can’t tell you how excited that gets me for the future of this scene. Your boy even got some clips of that I was pretty stoked on around the 15:50 mark. Hyped to be part of it.
On the filmmaking side, Guillermo absolutely crushed it. Really great shots of LA, the tricks, the mashing, and the music choices were on point. Job well done Memo and everyone involved. If you liked this and want to support, make sure you check out Slowwheelz Cycling!
Just some dudes having fun from the Icarus crew out of England. Quarter stall at 2:20 was real slick.
Jackson with FOAD Gang gives us a comprehensive video breakdown of his favorite videos and riders from 2020!
Do you have a loved one who rides a fixed gear bike? Are you not sure what to buy for them this holiday? Or are you a fixed gear rider and people keep asking you what you want for the holidays and you just keep shrugging your shoulders saying “I dunno”? Well if you fall into either of these camps, you’ve come to the right place. If you’re a fixed gear rider, just send this article to the next person who asks.
Here I’ll be listing a grip of small fixed gear parts and accessories brands that you can support this holiday to get some stuff that your fixed gear loved one will ACTUALLY be stoked about, rather than that shirt you get them from Tilly’s every year that they pretend to be excited about.(more…)
Some fire from Jake Lanich aka Brothalanich on the bike with Jackson behind the lens! This video as a whole is squeaky clean. The tricks, the edit, the filming, they all work great together. Love Jake’s smile whenever he’s doing tricks, you can tell he’s just out here having the time of his life. Great work dudes!
